History
Glenfarne Group was founded in 2011 by Brendan Duval, an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in global infrastructure. Since the firm’s inception, Glenfarne has significantly grown and expanded across the energy market. In 2017 we formed EnfraGen to specialize in renewable solar, hydro and grid stability assets across Latin American investment-grade countries.
Recognizing the growing demand for cleaner power and energy sources, we formed Alder Midstream in 2019, which focuses on the development and overhaul of energy infrastructure assets worldwide. Alder’s current subsidiaries include IACX Energy, a value-added natural gas gathering and processing business, Magnolia LNG and Texas LNG, a late-stage LNG export businesses.
Today, our total portfolio of assets throughout North and South America offers a combined output of 1.9 GW of power generation assets (either in development, operation or construction) and 12.8 mtpa of aggregated fully permitted late-stage development export capacity of LNG, making us one of leading and most diversified power businesses in the market.
